Amplitube allows you to do this also, but jamup also allows you to change the key so you dont have to completely retune the guitar. What sold me on the jamup is the jam utility and being able to loop a specific part of a song and slow it down. my initial desire was just something simple that sounded good enough to inspire more practice. I'm using it mainly as a practice device. It has a looper but not so much anything in a recording feature as of yet. If recording is your thing, the jamup wouldn't be for you. One app will have something the others dont and vice versa, so in the end, you have to go with what you will use the most. The problem in deciding between the apps is features. Right now I'm using the treadplate amp and I never use treadplate amps. I found with the jamup, that I can keep it simple. by the time im done, I have so much in my signal chain that the sound hardly resembles the intended models. Ive always found it difficult to dial in. Having played with POD Farm alot, I'm not sure how much I'd like the L6 app. ![]()
